Portraits of Resilience opens at the Phillips Collection

A selection of portraits from the ongoing series goes on show at the Phillips Collection in Washington DC through September 2026, in partnership with TASSC International. The exhibition includes work made in Ethiopia, Sudan, Rwanda, and the Republic of Congo, each portrait shown alongside the participant's story.

Selected portraits were presented at the Palais des Nations for a side-event alongside the 55th session of the UN Human Rights Council, in support of a survivor-led panel on torture prevention. The event drew delegates from more than thirty countries.
